Ecodriving

Ecodriving is a program developed by GAP member Ecolife (Belgium) in cooperation with Toyota Europe. The project was first piloted in Belgium in 2007. Based on positive feedback the programme is now rolled out also in UK, Spain, Norway and Iceland.

Who

The program is intended for medium sized enterprises, corporations, community organizations, schools, government bodies.

Purpose

Promote an ecological and fuel-efficient way of driving by changing people’s driving behavior.

What & When

Ecodriving means behaviour change:

  • Learning to use the full potential of modern vehicles
  • Reducing CO2 and other pollution
  • Reducing costs and stress

Simulators enable the actual teaching to be done in a classroom or public space, with up to five participants per trainer. Simulators as well as training programs are available in/from several European countries.
