We love the SDGs!

The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) have been adopted by all the world’s governments and took effect on 1 January 2016. They will guide global development for the next 15 years. Global Action Plan International is partnering with the network 17Goals, whose founder is Alan AtKisson, also a member of our advisory board.

Read all about the SDGs and check out our page at 17Goals, as well as an article about the SDGs and Gross National Happiness.

Care to Eat? – Welcome to the table!

We are about to PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE AN ATTRACTIVE INTERNATIONAL WORKBOOK FOR HOUSEHOLDS, to set change in FOOD BEHAVIOUR in motion.

And for the first time we're venturing into crowdfunding!
So, please take a look, view our video and support us to work in the very critical field of our food system.

The book will be part of a larger, international food program that we are planning; Food-Wise Community - a stakeholder approach to change at the local & municipal level.

The crowdfunding campaign runs from 1 June to 1 July.
To be successful we need to raise noticeable funds in the first week of June.

Please spread the word if you like, support us if you can and join our Care to Eat Facebook group and tell your food stories :)

Report from the Members meeting in Vietnam

On 13-18 April, GAP members gathered in ancient town Hoi An in Vietnam. During the intensive days, organized and beautifully performed by our hosts and Vietnamese lead member organisation Action for the City, we had our usual exchange of experience and AGM (new board was elected), visited local development projects, cycled a lot, welcomed a new Vietnamese member organization (more about them soon), spent a day on the beach, met with lovely Vietnamese people and experienced wonderful food.

It was the first time we had our International meeting in Asia and, I expect, not the last :).

See our album for more photos :)

Food-Wise Community – a new international GAP program!

You did notice that we are developing a program focused on food? Here’s a little introduction.
We’ll be back with more soon – watch this space!
